In nonconference men’s basketball:
Orange Coast 99, L.A. Harbor 83--Orange Coast (7-3) used a 16-1 run in the second half to put away L.A. Harbor (1-10). David Castleton and Dave Elliott scored 21 points each to lead the Pirates.
Saddleback 85, Southwestern 61--Jerry Inzunza scored 14 points for Saddleback (10-3), which took a 48-18 halftime lead. Southwestern (4-8) made eight of 32 shots from the field in the first half.
In nonconference women’s basketball:
Golden West 83, Desert 38--The Rustlers trailed, 9-5, but held Desert to two field goals over a 15-minute span to pull away. Golden West (9-2) went on an 18-2 run in the second half en route to its ninth straight win. Desert is 3-8.
