Residents are being asked to cut down on fire hazards and recycle Christmas trees early.
Trees can be dropped off from Dec. 27 to Jan. 3 at 7101 Thomas St. near Orangethorpe Avenue. An attendant will be available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., but the trees also may be dropped off after hours and on weekends. Tree owners are asked to remove nails and stands.
