UC Irvine 89, Humboldt State 65--Jerry Green scored 13 of Irvine’s first 15 points and the Anteaters routed the Division II Lumberjacks in front of 956 at the Bren Center.

Green finished with 19 points and four assists.

Irvine (5-3) was leading, 13-12, with 12 minutes left when Green hit two free throws to start a 18-9 run. Forward Marek Ondera, who finished with 14, scored 11 consecutive points during that stretch. Ondera, already hampered by a back injury, suffered a deep cut on his left thigh and missed the entire second half.

Freshman Matt Okoro, who was ticketed to redshirt, suited up for the first time, started and, after a scoreless first half, finished with eight points and seven rebounds.
