Man Who Died in Crash Identified
The 31-year-old Oxnard man who was killed in a head-on collision near Somis during the weekend was identified Sunday as Miguel Villalobos-Gonzales.
He was traveling west on California 118 between Sand Canyon and Balcom Canyon roads about 5:30 p.m. Saturday when he crossed the median and struck an oncoming vehicle.
The occupants of the second car, a family of four, suffered moderate injuries.
Villalobos-Gonzales died from blunt force head injuries at Pleasant Valley Hospital, the Ventura County coroner’s office said.
Officials with the California Highway Patrol said Villalobos-Gonzales may have been driving under the influence of alcohol. Toxicology reports are pending.
