Master’s Romps Past Cal State Los Angeles, 85-70

Joclin Julmist collected 16 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists for The Master’s College in an 85-70 victory over Cal State Los Angeles in a men’s basketball game on Thursday night at Cal State LA.

Julmist had five offensive rebounds and the Mustangs (14-2) outrebounded CS Los Angeles, 38-26.

Glendale 84, Sierra 76--Mike Schnyder had 24 points, seven rebounds and six assists to help the Vaqueros (13-4) win the San Diego Mesa tournament.

Sean Stroud scored 12 points for Glendale (13-4).

BOYS’ SOCCER

Buena 5, Nordhoff 0--Chris Parkin scored three goals in 15 minutes for the Bulldogs during pool play of group D in the Buena tournament.

Parkin’s scored in the fourth and seventh minutes, both coming on crosses.

Parkin’s third goal, his 10th of the season, was scored on a breakaway and was the final goal of the game for Buena (9-3-1), which is ranked No. 1 in the region by The Times.

In an earlier game, Parkin scored during a 3-0 victory over Oxnard.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

Hueneme 5, Santa Paula 0--Heidi Zielinski had three goals and the Vikings won the Hueneme tournament.

Jackie Berry had four shutouts in the tournament for Hueneme (9-2-1).

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Pepperdine 68, Towson 47--Nadja Morgan had 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Waves in a nonconference victory at Pepperdine.

Rasheeda Clark had 14 points and four steals for the Waves (5-5), who forced 28 turnovers in winning their third consecutive game.

Campbellsville (Ky.) 69, The Master’s 57--Molly Scott had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Mustangs in a nonconference loss.

Ventura 79, Glendale 43--Tee Noble had 20 points and Jackie Rhetta added 12 for the Pirates (20-0) in a nonconference victory at Ventura.

Mt. San Antonio 59, Valley 47--Carrie Miller had 13 points and 16 rebounds but the Monarchs (12-7) lost in the ninth-place game of the Fullerton tournament.
