GAME OF THE WEEK

CONNECTICUT (19-1): at STANFORD (19-3):

When--Saturday. Time--Noon. TV--Channel 7.

* Story line--Even though Connecticut’s unbeaten record is history and the No. 1 ranking will be gone soon too, Stanford is still seeking revenge for a 76-56 loss at Connecticut last season. Connecticut pressured Stanford into playing the Huskies’ running game, and Stanford, wearied by the cross-country trip, shot only 31%. The Huskies’ high-scoring star, Richard Hamilton, probably will play after missing the loss to Syracuse because of a thigh bruise, and Connecticut got good news on leading rebounder Jake Voskuhl’s worrisome foot injury Wednesday. One note: Stanford’s record against No. 1 teams is 1-23.
