Deputies are looking for a man and a woman wanted in connection with a home-invasion robbery that ended with the stabbing of a man who lives at the residence.

Michael Stevens, 34, remains in critical condition at Ventura County Medical Center after undergoing surgery to repair several stab wounds he received during the robbery at his Floral Drive home about 6:30 a.m. Thursday.

Wanted on suspicion of attempted murder are 39-year-old Todd Kinnamon and 29-year-old Starla Baker, both of Ventura, authorities said.

Kinnamon is described as white, 6 feet 2 and 230 pounds. Baker is also white, 5 feet 2 inches and 140 pounds.

Kinnamon and Baker are believed to be driving a gray 1989 Nissan pickup with license plate number 5V93014.

Both are considered armed and dangerous, authorities said.

Deputies responded to a 911 call for help from Stevens about 7:30 a.m. Thursday.

Stevens said he had been attacked by a man and woman who entered his home an hour earlier and robbed the residence.

Authorities found Stevens with several stab wounds to his torso and rushed him to the hospital.

Investigators said some items from Stevens’ home had been taken, including a Winchester rifle.

Authorities declined to say if Stevens knows his attackers.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Kinnamon or Baker should call the Sheriff’s Department at 654-2311.
