The City Council unanimously modified the city’s daytime curfew ordinance to conform with new state regulations Monday. The curfew, one of only three in Orange County, according to Police Chief Mike Sellers, was first instituted in August 1996. Since then, police have had contact with six juveniles who were potentially in violation of the daytime curfew. Of those, two were involved in burglary cases, Sellers said. The Seal Beach City Council’s vote amended the city’s curfew to conform with those exceptions.
