The City Council on Monday approved an increase in animal adoption fees in an effort to curb pet overpopulation. The adoption fees for dogs will increase from $25 to $50 and from $20 to $40 for cats. A new state law will require all public animal services to spay and neuter cats and dogs prior to adoption beginning in July. Information: (949) 470-3000.
