‘Threatening’ Man on Plane Arrested
A passenger on a Southwest Airlines flight from San Diego to San Jose threatened crew members Tuesday and demanded to be taken to Hollywood, authorities said, causing the plane to land in Burbank, where he was arrested.
Southwest Airlines Flight 923 was near Los Angeles when one of the passengers began “acting in a threatening manner,” a Burbank airport spokesman said. “He said he wanted to be taken to Hollywood.”
There was no violence. The plane landed at Burbank about 6:40 p.m. The passenger, whose identity was not revealed, was taken into custody by airport police and the flight continued to San Jose.
