IRVINE
MacArthur Boulevard will get a face lift along the Irvine and Newport Beach border, south of the Corona del Mar Freeway, beginning this week. The six-week project will include repaving, landscaping and constructing new curbs from Fairchild Drive to Ford Road. Work will begin at 9 a.m. each day and end at 3 p.m. Motorists are urged to use alternate routes to avoid delays. Information: (949) 724-6205.
