Suspect Sought in Slaying in Driveway
Police issued a murder warrant Thursday for a Santa Ana man in the shooting of a man in his driveway last month.
Julio Sevilla, 25, is being sought for the slaying of Armando Gonzalez Montes, 34. Montes was shot June 26, when someone fired a semiautomatic handgun at a group of people standing in the driveway of Montes’ house at 1027 W. Highland St., said Santa Ana police spokesman Jose Garcia. Two others were wounded.
“Sevilla is believed to be staying at various locations in Orange County,” he said.
Police believe the shooter mistook Montes for someone else.
Sevilla is described as having black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 foot 11 inches tall, weighs about 190 pounds and has tattoos on his right hand, right arm and upper back, according to police. Anyone with information is encouraged to call (714) 245-8357.
