Lancaster Splits With High Desert
The JetHawks split two seven-inning California League games with High Desert on Monday.
Greg Wooten (3-2) led Lancaster to a 7-0 victory in the first game. Wooten gave up four hits and struck out seven in 5 1/3 innings.
Left fielder Harvey Hargrove hit a home run and catcher Greg Connors had three hits. The game was a makeup of a game rained out Sunday.
Lancaster lost the second game, 5-1.

Mike Glendenning of San Jose, formerly of Crespi High and Pierce College, is tied for the league lead with 18 home runs. Jacques Landry of Modesto, Chin-Feng Chen of San Bernardino and Todd Mensik of Visalia also have 18 homers.
Doug Clark of Bakersfield has the top batting average at .367. Mensik leads the league with 80 runs batted in.
