LAGUNA NIGUEL
The City Council tonight will hold a public hearing on a $212,000 project to light the ball field at Niguel Hills Middle School. The proposed installation of six light poles on the soccer field would extend practice time for AYSO soccer and girls’ softball. But there could be a significant increase in noise from the later practices, according to a city report. The council meets at 7 p.m. in chambers, 27841 La Paz Road. Information: (949) 362-4300.
