Ron Santo, 59, Has Mild Heart Attack

Former Chicago Cub third baseman and current Cub radio broadcaster Ron Santo, 59, had a mild heart attack early Monday and was hospitalized in Denver, where the Cubs begin a series against the Rockies today.
“Ron has spoken with members of the Cubs’ organization, and they say he is in good spirits,” a team spokesman said.
He played for the Cubs from 1960-73 and the White Sox in 1974, winning five Gold Gloves.
