Olowokandi Subject of Film

For the last two days, Michael Olowokandi has had a film crew from TNT follow him around for a special scheduled to be aired at the end of the season. The theme of the show will be a day in the life of an NBA rookie and it will focus on Olowokandi on and off the court.

“TNT did something with me in college before the draft . . . on five draft prospects,” said Olowokandi, who played in his third game since being activated off the injured list because of an ankle injury Saturday against Portland. “They are going to use some parts of that along with the stuff they get now.”

Olowokandi, who shaved his head in honor of the team’s first victory on Thursday, admits that he has struggled some since returning to the lineup.

“It’s been a little difficult because of a combination of things,” he said. “I’ve had trouble staying in the game because of foul trouble. Every time I get in, a whistle is blown on me. I’m having a hard time getting my rhythm going. My ankle also is not 100% but I’d rather be playing instead of sitting on the injured list.”
