Regal Cinemas, the nation’s largest movie theater chain, is set to open its first Orange County multiple-screen cinema in June.

Regal’s 22-screen theater, featuring 4,350 stadium-style seats, will open at the expanding Foothill Ranch Towne Centre and Marketplace in Lake Forest. A new food court also is scheduled to open, but the names of vendors have not been announced.

Recent additions to the center include Islands Fine Burgers & Drinks, which opened last month along with a Taco Bell. An Outback Steakhouse will open Friday.

The Regal theater is considered the heart of the center’s entertainment phase, spokeswoman Rebecca Hall said. A game center may be added later, she said.

The shopping center is being developed by Foothill Ranch Co. of Laguna Hills and Pacific Development Group of Newport Beach.
