Marlon Parmer of Verbum Dei, the Southern Section Division IV basketball player of the year, will attend New Mexico in the fall.

Parmer, a guard who averaged 26 points and nine assists, chose New Mexico over USC, Michigan and Nevada Las Vegas. He led Verbum Dei to consecutive section and Division IV state titles.
