Clippers Won’t Play at Pond

The Clippers will abandon their annual series at the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim and play their entire home schedule at the Staples Center upon moving into the new arena next season.
The NBA Board of Governors must approve the move, although league spokesman Evan Silverman said approval is considered a formality. An announcement is expected after today’s board meeting in New York.
The Clippers, who played most of their home games at the Sports Arena, played 37 regular-season games in Anaheim from 1994-99, with an average crowd of 14,788.
