What a relief: Columnist Mike Lupica in the New York Daily News, on the one-on-one exhibition between Duval and Tiger Woods at Sherwood Country Club in August:

“The winner is supposed to make more than a million dollars, which is a relief, because now we can call off the benefit we wanted to run for both Duval and Woods, who hardly make any money at all on the regular PGA Tour.”

Lupica says that the match “will be about as authentic as a rich-looking Rolex sold on a street corner.”

Or that they’re going to end the season as the biggest tease and biggest fraud of the season? (Will NBC even televise the rest of the playoffs if the Lakers lose?)”

Any second thoughts, Michael?
