Top-Seeded Katzman Wins Championship
Top-seeded Ryan Katzman of Foothill won the singles title with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Jason Topor of El Modena in the Century League tennis finals Tuesday at the Anaheim Hills Racquet Club. Foothill’s doubles team of Jeff Barry and John Gross won the doubles title, 7-5, 3-6, 7-6.
In the Freeway League finals:
Sunny Hills sweeps--Joseph Kao of Sunny Hills won the singles title, 6-0, 6-1. Raj Vyas and Davin Lin, also of Sunny Hills, took the doubles title, 6-3, 7-5.
In the Orange League finals:
Sweeney wins--Brea Olinda’s Ed Sweeney won his second straight championship with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over teammate Ed Eum. Brea’s Chris Manton and Matt Traino won the doubles final.
