Mater Dei-Santa Margarita Football Tickets Go on Sale

Tickets for the Mater Dei-Santa Margarita football game Saturday at Edison Field are available for purchase on each campus through Friday and at the stadium’s box office.

The athletic office at Mater Dei, which is open from 8 a.m.-3 p.m., has reserved tickets on the field level for $12 and the terrace level for $10. At Santa Margarita, where tickets may be purchased in the athletic office from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., only $12 reserved tickets are available.

General admission tickets at $6 plus reserved tickets are being sold at the Edison Field box office, which opens at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Kickoff is 7 p.m.

SOFTBALL

Huntington Beach softball coach Amie Stewart has resigned, Athletic Director Dave Van Hoorebeke said.

A walk-on coach, Stewart left to take a long-term substitute teaching position at L.A. Ribet Academy, where she will coach volleyball, basketball and softball.

* Troy has named Marlon Buttram its coach for the 2000 season, Athletic Director John Turek said. Buttram has spent the last three years coaching an ASA 14-and-under travel team. He replaces Sue Garrison, who resigned to coach at Cerritos, Turek said.
