Nightspots for those times when you’re out on the scene and need some cuisine . . .

* Coffee House. Forget about the celebrities who are rumored to hang at this 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week caffeine-junkie joint. Go for the French fries. It’s a secret recipe. For real. But we’ve got two words for you: garlic pepper. 8226 W. Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, (323) 848-7007. All ages.

* Highland Grounds. Fighting to keeps its place on the scene after darn-near a decade, things changed for Highland Grounds when owner Richard Brenner took the music bookings back into his own hands. Now, you can catch a big jolt with that cola. 742 N. Highland Ave., Hollywood, (323) 466-1507. All ages.

* North. You can try traveling east, south or west, but trust me, you’ll always end up at North. There’s nothing like sopping up some of that alcohol with a hearty meal, which this place serves with style. 8029 W. Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, (323) 654-1313. 21 and older.

* Saddle Ranch Chop House. Talk about having your cake and eating it too. One slice of cake at this bull-riding paradise is bigger than the whole state of Texas. What’s that? You think I’m exaggerating? Get off the couch and see for yourself. 8371 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, (323) 656-2007. All ages.

* The Standard. There’s just not enough time in the day to be cool, so this newish hotel makes sure its coffee shop stays open all day and all night, which is pretty groovy. There’s nothing like being able to order a chocolate tart on a whim. (Just don’t check in if you actually want sleep; we hear it’s not conducive to a good night’s rest.) 8300 W. Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, (323) 650-9090. All ages.

* Sunset Room. There’s little doubt people are going to be chillin’ like villains here, baby. Brad Johnson, the former Georgia/Roxbury entrepreneur, known to slay women with a mere shake of his hand, is at the helm. Not to mention, hello? Has anyone heard of Drai’s? Yup, the Sunset Room scored the chef. 1430 Cahuenga Blvd., Hollywood, (323) 463-8712. 21 and older, cover varies.
