Couple Dies From Crash Injuries
A Sun Valley couple has died from injuries suffered in a single-car accident in Sunland.
Betty Eileen Pratt, 81, died Friday morning at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, a day after the accident, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Her husband, Charles Pratt, 91, was pronounced dead at the medical center Thursday following the accident, said Officer Connie Silber of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division.
According to Silber, Charles Pratt was driving west on Sunland Boulevard when he drove off the road near Johanna Avenue at 3 p.m. He apparently suffered a heart attack before he lost control and ran into a fence and two power poles, Silber said.
