Arizona Ends Up Feeling Most of Tuiasosopo’s Pain
Marques Tuiasosopo, unable to practice after bruising his hip a week earlier, threw two touchdown passes as Washington defeated Arizona, 33-25, Saturday.
“Adrenaline is the best painkiller,” said Tuiasosopo, who was able to muster only 21 yards for his team in the first quarter. “I just had to get battle-tested.”
Washington, 6-3 overall and 5-1 in the Pacific 10, will go the Rose Bowl with victories over UCLA and Washington State the next two weeks. Arizona (6-4, 3-3) must win seven games to qualify for postseason play because of its 12-game schedule.
The Huskies clinched the victory with a 17-play, 80-yard march in the fourth quarter, capped by a six-yard touchdown catch by Jerramy Stevens.
