GIRLS’ TENNIS

Channel League tournament--Kelly Schmandt of San Marcos defeated Yasmin Fisher of Buena, 6-2, 6-0, at Santa Barbara High to claim her third consecutive league singles title. Fisher, a senior, was runner-up for the third straight season.

Mission League tournament--Harvard-Westlake junior Stephanie Berg defeated sophomore teammate Jessica Leck, 6-4, 6-4, to claim the singles title at Northridge Tennis Club.

Chaminade’s Kinsley Carnahan and Jessica Testwuide defeated Harvard-Westlake’s Chelsea Heller and Chelsea Dillon, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4, to win the doubles title.

MEN’S WATER POLO

Grossmont 11, Ventura 9--Ryan Fisher and Serghei Vaculcac each scored three goals for the Pirates (16-12) in the first round of the Southern California Regionals at Grossmont.

COLLEGE WRESTLING

Moorpark 51, Cypress 0--The Musketeers (12-2) won five matches by pin and three matches by forfeit in a Western State Conference meet at Moorpark to clinch their 20th conference title in 33 years.
