Harvard-Westlake 14, West Torrance 4--Stephanie Berg and Jessica Leck, playing Nos. 1 and 2 singles, each swept three matches, and the second-seeded Wolverines won eight of nine singles sets in a Division III second-round playoff match at Studio City Golf and Tennis.

Berg lost only three games and Leck six.

Zeda Harris and Katelyn Rader, playing in No. 2 doubles, swept three sets for Harvard-Westlake (17-2), which meets Agoura in a quarterfinal match on Tuesday.

Agoura 12, Cerritos Gahr 6--Brooke Borisoff (33-0) lost only three games in three matches at No. 1 singles and the Chargers swept seven of nine singles sets in a Division III second-round match at Cerritos College.

Lauren Hahn and Elissa Reizman, playing No. 2 doubles, swept three sets for Agoura (2-9).

Westlake 9, Garden Grove 9--For the second consecutive year the Argonauts’ season ended with a playoff loss to Westlake, this time on games, 80-76, in a Division III second-round match at Garden Grove (19-3).

The Argonauts trailed, 8-3, midway through the second round but won five consecutive sets to tie the match.

Amy Corwin, playing No. 2 singles for Westlake (16-4), stopped Garden Grove’s momentum and clinched the victory with a 6-3 victory over No. 1 Le Phan.

BOYS’ WATER POLO

Flintridge Prep 11, Cerritos 9--Sam Tyre scored six goals for the Rebels in a Division VI first-round playoff victory at Cerritos.

Brian Choi scored three second-half goals, putting Flintridge Prep (19-9) ahead to stay, 7-6.
