Robitaille Reports Pain in Left Foot

Share

Luc Robitaille reported pain Monday, and admitted that his goal of a quick recovery from a broken bone in his left foot might have been optimistic.

A scheduled MRI was postponed because of the pain.

“It looks like I need to count from the Detroit game instead of from the Pittsburgh game, when I got hurt,” said Robitaille, who continues hard workouts, including aerobic efforts on a stationary bicycle while wearing a protective boot on the foot.

The difference in the dates is about a week. He was injured in a game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Oct. 28, but played three games, until one at Detroit on Nov. 3. After that, he underwent the MRI that showed the broken bone.

Doctors have put a recovery period of up to six weeks on it. Robitaille has talked in terms of two.

The Kings are 2-1-1 in his absence.
