The Recreation and Community Services Department is offering a junior high basketball division for athletes born in 1986 and 1987. The division is for players who want to learn the fundamentals of basketball through league play.
The league will practice after school two days a week and will play games on Saturdays at the Oak School Gymnasium.
The league begins Jan. 3 and runs through March 12. The fee is $53 and includes a T-shirt, trophy and post-season awards banquet. Information: (562) 430-1073.
