LOS ALAMITOS
Los Alamitos Unified School District Instruction and Special Projects Director Elaine Hamada recently was honored when she received the Administrator of the Year award from the Assn. of California School Administrators (ACSA).
Before she won the state competition in the curriculum and instruction category, Hamada had received the award in the same category as best school administrator in Orange County earlier this year in May.
The former teacher has worked in the district for 26 years and has spent 11 of those years in administration.
