At Canyon High, 7:30 p.m.
Canyon upset Arcadia last week, 28-14, with eight starters out because of grades. But St. Francis is no Arcadia. The Golden Knights, who finished second in the Mission League behind Notre Dame, average 37 points a game. Canyon averages 17 points and 247 yards rushing with its double-wing offense. Wingback Mark Barr, who has played mostly on junior varsity this season, has rushed for 367 yards in 60 carries, including 170 yards against Arcadia. Wingback Colin MacNeil has rushed for 558 yards and seven touchdowns, and quarterback Julio DeLeon has added 453 yards and six touchdowns. St. Francis’ offense is much more balanced. Quarterback John Sciarra has completed nearly 60% of his passes for 2,333 yards and 25 touchdowns. Matt Milton has gained 1,329 yards and scored 17 touchdowns.
