* SOUTHERN ILLINOIS (1-1) at LONG BEACH STATE (1-1), 2 p.m.--The big question for the 49ers is the health of Ramel Lloyd, their leading scorer from last season who sat out Tuesday’s game against Cal State Dominguez Hills with tendinitis in both knees. The 49ers didn’t need him as they cruised past their Division II opponent, 85-51. Southern Illinois is coming off a 79-74 loss at Ball State Wednesday. Long Beach should have the advantage in size, as Southern Illinois starting center Derrick Tilmon is only 6 feet 7. Long Beach has three starters at least that tall.
