From Staff Reports

The Harvard-Westlake High girls’ basketball team has lost its second starter to a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

Rolake Bamgbose, a 6-foot-1 All-Southern Section center, could be lost for the season after the injury to her right knee two weeks ago. Surgery is planned.

“It’s a severe loss,” Coach Brian Taylor said.

The Wolverines, the state Division III runners-up last season, were already coping with the loss of 5-8 Erin Stepheson, who had surgery during the summer for a torn ACL. Stepheson might return in January.
