The City Council will revisit the divisive issue of campaign finance reform at the Oct. 19 meeting. An amendment to the current campaign finance reform ordinance was submitted for consideration Tuesday.
The amendment would keep the $1,000 contribution limit but extend the amount of time during an election that a candidate could collect money from contributors. The amendment also would change the prosecution of code violations from criminal to civil.
