Norwegian Cruise Lines’ Norwegian Sky, which hit a sandbar Sept. 24 in the upper St. Lawrence River in Quebec, will be out of service for repairs to its hull and propeller until Oct. 28, when it begins a repositioning cruise from Boston to Miami, a spokeswoman said. Three cruises in New England and Canada have been canceled. . . . AT&T; this weekend ended its 800-SEA-CALL automated system, which connects sailors and passengers to friends and family ashore via Coast Guard stations. A spokeswoman said the end of the service affects mainly pleasure craft and fishing vessels; major cruise lines have moved to satellite technology. . . . San Diego’s Paint the Bay, an annual street-painting festival that draws scores of professional and amateur artists and thousands of spectators to the Broadway Pier and Ferry Landing Marketplace on Coronado, will be held next weekend, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 16 and 17.
