Chaminade 28, St. Bernard 0--Dennis Mikulich rushed six times for 63 yards and scored on a five-yard run, and the host Eagles scored on four of their first five possessions while building a 25-0 lead.
Chaminade (4-2) sacked Viking quarterback Peter Roses five times for minus-45 yards. It was the Eagles’ second consecutive shutout.
Jon Palacios completed nine of 17 passes for 176 yards for Chaminade, including a 24-yard touchdown to Kevin McGlynn. Bryan Borreson kicked field goals of 39 and 22 yards.
Daryl Mason scored on a three-yard run to open the game, capping a 71-yard, eight-play drive. Chaminade rushed for 161 yards.
Chaminade’s second touchdown was set up with a fumble recovery by linebacker Russell Kovner at the St. Bernard five. That led to Mikulich’s scoring run and a 15-0 lead after a two-point conversion run by Mikulich.
