Ernst Passes, Runs Servite Past Alemany

Adam Ernst threw four touchdown passes and ran for two more scores to lead Servite to a 49-34 victory over Mission Hills Alemany in a nonleague game Friday at Cal State Fullerton.

Ernst completed 14 of 20 passes for 309 yards. Chad Bystedt caught three passes for 93 yards. The two hooked up on touchdown passes of 15 and 36 yards to give Servite (4-2), a 27-22 lead at halftime. Bystedt later caught a 42-yard touchdown pass.

Alemany (5-1) tried to keep pace by getting the ball to running back DeAndre Scott.He caught a 26-yard touchdown pass from Casey Clausen and also scored on a two-yard run.

Clausen completed 11 of 24 passes for 223 yards. He threw a 39-yard touchdown pass to Lanard Heath and a 21-yard touchdown pass to Derek Goodman.

Goodman caught five passes for 125 yards and also returned a kickoff 95 for a touchdown.

The Friars’ Brendan Hopkins caught three passes for 120 yards, one a 59-yard touchdown. Servite’s Lamar Mason rushed for 119 yards in 15 carries.

Alemany’s Garret Marxen kicked a 37-yard field goal as time expired in the first half after offensive lineman Nick Keleshin ran the ball 37 yards on a trick play.
