VENTURA COUNTY NEWS : Centers Seek Blood Donations
Did you forget to give blood this summer? No bother, because United Blood Services has four donation centers open for the holiday weekend.
The nonprofit group, the county’s only blood provider, needs about 500 donors a week to keep an adequate supply of blood flowing. Donors with type O and type B are particularly needed, but everyone is welcome.
Walk-ins are accepted, but appointments are encouraged. Call 654-8104 or (800) 715-3699 to reach donor centers in Camarillo, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks or Ventura.
