Leisure World construction crews will begin repairing and reinforcing the eroded banks of Aliso Creek on Monday, said Tanya C. McElhaney, community relations director. She said the crew is scheduled to finish the project, near Avenida Sevilla, before Oct. 15.
Residents living near Gate 3 may hear construction noise and truck and tractor traffic between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., McElhaney said, adding that residents should be cautious walking near the construction site.
In the coming weeks, contractors will pour cement into the concrete slabs to hold them in place when heavy rains flood the creek, McElhaney said. Information: (949) 597-4617.
