A 39-year-old Newbury Park woman was killed Sunday when she crashed her motorcycle on Highway 33 north of Ojai, according to California Highway Patrol officials.

Tracey Lynn Everson was traveling south on the two-lane highway just south of Rose Valley around 1 p.m. when her motorcycle veered to the right onto the dirt shoulder.

Everson struck the side of the mountain and was thrown from the motorcycle, officials said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Everson’s motorcycle careened off the side of the mountain into the northbound lanes, where it hit another motorcycle.

Morgan Bailey of Santa Barbara, 49, and his passenger, Irene Roderick of Valencia, 49, fell from their cycle as well.

Bailey received cuts to his arms and back. Roderick broke her arm. They were taken to Ojai Valley Community Hospital, where they were treated and released.

All three victims were wearing helmets. Highway 33 was closed in both directions for 2 1/2 hours.
