Curt Schilling gave up two hits in four shutout innings, pitching for Clearwater of the Class-A Florida State League in an injury rehabilitation start Monday.

Schilling struck out nine Daytona Cubs, throwing 63 pitches, including 45 strikes. His fastball topped out at 94 mph.

“I just need to pitch and I am resigned to that fact,” said Schilling, expected to rejoin Philadelphia in May. “I feel better than I did my last time [Thursday]. My changeup is better. Everything is better. I just can’t get this over any faster than every five days.”
