Sound and the Fury: Yes, It’s an Angel Game

Share

Forever, we are comparing the Dodgers and Angels. The Angels always seem to be trailing the Dodgers by a step in everything they do. Example: murals on the outfield walls this year. What an idea!

The one thing the Angels trail by a lot on is their TV analysts. If I am told one more time by Rex Hudler that something “pumps him up,” I’m gonna lose my periwinkle. Steve Physioc’s big contribution on a nightly basis is to tell us (in a 1-1 game) that the Angels “would sure like to score a run.” Really?

Yes, we know that with the bases loaded by the Indians in a tie game that the Angel reliever “does not want to walk this guy.” I won’t even get into their “interview” with Bill Stoneman the other night.

I think I’ll go turn off the Angels on TV and turn on Vinny on the radio.

So Mr. Tavares says Michael Eisner would sell if he “got the right offer.”

Either you want to sell or you don’t. This doesn’t sound like a group committed to the franchise.

The greatest slam was the comment, “We have to do what makes the most sense for our shareholders.” How about what makes the most sense for the fans? Or the city?

I might find a new team if I get the right offer.
