Agnew Tech-II, a Westlake Village-based translation firm, has formed a partnership with Peace Project 2000, an international arts festival and media event dedicated to spreading a message of peace and nonviolence.

Agnew Tech-II will become the official translation company of Peace Project as it travels this year to demilitarized zones in Nicosia, Cyprus; Belfast, Northern Ireland; and Jerusalem for art shows and concerts.

Agnew Tech-II’s services will include document translation and personal interpreters.

“Working with Peace Project will allow us to use our skills to help opposing countries create the meaningful and substantive dialogues that lead to mutual respect and understanding, the two elements at the very essence of peace,” said Agnew Tech-II President Irene Agnew, the daughter of refugees from Russia’s Bolshevik Revolution.

“My husband, James, who was born in Northern Ireland, and I both came from countries torn apart by war and violence, so Peace Project was something I immediately wanted to be involved with.”
