The American Red Cross announced it will hold for the first time emergency-preparedness classes at the Emergency Ambulance Service, 3200 E. Birch St.
The classes are part of an effort to reach out to those across the county who are interested in first aid.
CPR, first aid and child CPR will be among the classes offered. The Red Cross will give instruction in child CPR from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and will teach an adult CPR and first-aid class from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 12.
