Tyson Is Seeking Bout With Golota
Forget David Izon.
Handlers for two-time heavyweight champion Mike Tyson have abandoned plans for a fight against Izon and are focused on Andrew Golota for a match tentatively set for Oct. 20 at the Palace in Auburn Hills, Mich., according to a source close to the negotiations.
A Tyson-Izon fight Sept. 8 at the Palace had been under serious discussion until the financial backing collapsed.
