SAN CLEMENTE
The city is close to reaching a settlement with the operators of an errant recreational vehicle storage lot, Community Development Director Jim Holloway said.
Negotiations with Rancho RV Storage Park could be finalized by Sept. 1, the city’s deadline to have all vehicles removed from the lot, he said.
Holloway said he couldn’t give details of the settlement until it was finalized, but he did say it would include the city retracting its threats to file criminal charges against the operators.
The park opened on two vacant lots on Avenida Fabricante near Calle Extremo after they were forced to close down the original park in San Juan Capistrano to make way for a development. The operators opened the lot without obtaining a San Clemente business license.
