Pioneering a Visit to New Disney Park
Travelers who want to get a jump on visiting California Adventure Park, the Disney theme park scheduled to open Feb. 8 next to Disneyland, can get tickets by buying multi-day hotel-park packages. Single-day admission tickets aren’t expected to be available until January, and their price hasn’t been set, officials said last week.
Built on 55 acres of former Disneyland parking lot in Anaheim and about two-thirds the size of the older park, California Adventure Park will offer 22 attractions and shows with California themes such as a beach-side amusement park and Hollywood Pictures Backlot. A shopping area and a new hotel, the Grand Californian, are also to open by Feb. 8. The total project cost $1.4 billion.
Two-night packages that include a stay at the Grand Californian and passes for both theme parks start at $406. Call (800) 225-2024 or visit the Internet site https://www.disneyland.com.
