First Night? It’s Also a Free Night

Admission to First Night Fullerton will be free next week--for the first time in the event’s 10-year history.

City officials decided to make the New Year’s Eve celebration open to all families this year, regardless of their ability to pay. The popular festival, held each year in Downtown Fullerton, features live bands, entertainment, children’s activities and a fireworks finale in an alcohol-free environment.

“First Night is a wonderful opportunity for families to celebrate the new year together in a safe and wholesome atmosphere,” said Cindi Malvin, event coordinator for the city. “The City Council decided this year to make First Night free to the public to assure that all Fullerton families can enjoy the event.”
