Residents are invited to advise the city on a plan to develop the city’s pedestrian, hiking and biking trails.

A Sacramento-based recreation firm, the Dangermond Group, needs residents’ help in the nine-month planning process to link the city’s trail system and open spaces, said Steve Musillami, co-owner of the firm.

The City Council approved the $70,000 project in October. It will update the city’s maps of open spaces and sensitive habitats. Musillami will also present residents and members of the Parks and Recreation Commission with three months of research on the city’s trails and critical linkage points.
