Cal State Northridge 101, Idaho State 86--The Matadors connected on 32 of 48 (66.7%) shots from the field, including 17 of their first 21 as they breezed to victory against the Bengals before 3,562 at Pocatello, Idaho, in a Big Sky Conference game.

Northridge (10-3, 2-0) made 75% of its shots in the first half while building a 56-42 lead and earning its eighth victory in nine games.

As usual, Northridge capitalized on its aggressive inside game. But the Matadors were equally lethal from three-point range, making 11 of 17 (64.7%), including eight of 10 in the first half.

Guard Marco McCain led Northridge with 19 points, including three three-pointers in the first half. Six players scored in double figures, including Jeff Parris and Brian Heinle with 18 and 17 points apiece.

“That’s the most unselfish display I’ve seen this year--in a long time,” Coach Bobby Braswell of Northridge said. “They really stepped out on the floor tonight. They don’t care who scores.”
